Snowman has never seen Slick gamble. She figures he must have, what with being a complete degenerate in his youth and all, but she’s never actually been present when he’s sat down at a table and picked up a hand of cards. Certainly he’s suggested it, but even when she was younger, and less sensible, gambling never held much of an interest for her: she’d watched her father once lose $100 in five seconds at a roulette table once, when she’d been small, and ever since then the entire mystique of gambling had been rather lost on her.
